Conga CPQ alternatives: five realistic options if you sell on Salesforce

If you run Conga CPQ (formerly Apttus) on Salesforce, there are four real alternatives plus the option to stay: Kugamon (Salesforce-native, $65 per user per month, published), Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced ($150–$200, published), DealHub (external platform, multi-CRM, unpublished pricing), and Nue (AppExchange app with its own data store, unpublished pricing). Salesforce CPQ is not an option: it is end of sale.

Why teams leave Conga CPQ

  • Ownership. Pricing logic in callback classes and TurboEngines settings means every change goes through a partner.
  • Direction. Conga’s investment is in its Advantage Platform and, since February 2026, PROS pricing — not in the Salesforce packages (Conga after PROS).
  • Cost visibility. No published price; every renewal is a negotiation.
  • Data model. Price Lists and Price List Items instead of standard Price Books, which complicates reporting and AI access.
  • Separate cart. Reps configure in a cart page rather than on the quote.

How to choose

Start with where you want quote data to live. If the answer is “in Salesforce, as standard objects,” the field narrows to Kugamon and Revenue Cloud Advanced. DealHub and Nue keep the system of record, or part of it, outside the org.

Then decide who will own it. Revenue Cloud Advanced is a Salesforce-scale implementation; a full rebuild runs 12–18 months in practice (source). Kugamon is admin-led with a fixed implementation fee ($30K on a one-year term, $25K on two or three years).

Then price it over three years. The ROI calculator uses published Kugamon and Salesforce prices and labels every competitor figure that is an estimate. For a wider list that also covers non-Salesforce buyers, see seven Salesforce CPQ alternatives on kugamon.com.

What is not on the list

Salesforce CPQ (SBQQ). It was the obvious alternative to Apttus for a decade, but Salesforce stopped selling it to new customers in March 2025. Existing customers keep it; nobody new can buy it (Salesforce). Subskribe is also absent as a standalone option: DealHub acquired it in November 2025 (explainer).

It depends on where you want quote data to live. For Salesforce-native, admin-owned CPQ with published pricing, Kugamon ($65 per user per month on the AppExchange). For Salesforce’s own revenue suite with SI-led implementation, Revenue Cloud Advanced ($150–$200, published). For multi-CRM teams, DealHub. For SaaS billing bundled with CPQ, Nue.

Not for new customers. Salesforce CPQ has been end of sale since March 2025 (Salesforce). Salesforce’s replacement is Revenue Cloud Advanced — see the comparison.

To Kugamon, typically 6–10 weeks: export catalog, price lists, open quotes, and asset line items; map to standard Products and Price Books; load; run in parallel for one quote cycle; uninstall (playbook). Salesforce and DealHub do not publish timelines for moves from Conga.

Yes. Apttus CPQ has been sold as Conga CPQ since the 2020 combination of Apttus and Conga (press release); the packages still use the Apttus_Config2 namespace. Any alternative to one is an alternative to the other. Background: Apttus CPQ, explained.
