Conga CPQ vs DealHub: where the data lives, who owns it, what each publishes

Conga CPQ runs inside your Salesforce org as ten managed packages, priced from Conga’s own Price List objects, with an optional TurboPricing engine on Conga’s platform. DealHub runs entirely outside the CRM and syncs quotes back to Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics. Neither publishes a price. The choice is mostly about where you want the system of record.

Where the data lives

This is the whole difference in one picture.

Your Salesforce org versus Vendor platforms Conga CPQ runs inside the Salesforce org; DealHub runs outside it and syncs quotes in. What that means in practice

  • Reporting and AI. Agentforce and standard reports see Conga’s records directly; with DealHub they see the synced copy.
  • Ownership of change. Conga implementations are typically SI-maintained; DealHub changes happen in DealHub’s console. Neither is admin-in-Setup.
  • Leaving. From Conga, export proposals and asset line items from the org. From DealHub, export from the platform first and treat the CRM copies as a cross-check.
  • Price. Neither publishes one. Compare the quotes you receive against the two that do: Kugamon and Revenue Cloud.

Conga vs DealHub — FAQ

Conga CPQ installs as managed packages in your org (native packaging) with an optional off-platform pricing engine (Conga docs). DealHub is a standalone platform with a Salesforce integration (dealhub.io). Under the strict definition — every revenue object a Salesforce record, no external system of record — neither fully qualifies; Conga is closer. See the five-question test.

Neither publishes list pricing; both quote each deal (Conga · DealHub). Published comparables: Kugamon $65–$125 per user per month (AppExchange); Salesforce Revenue Cloud $150–$200 (Salesforce).

Yes, functionally — DealHub covers configuration, pricing, quoting and subscription billing. The trade is moving your system of record from inside the org to DealHub’s platform. If Salesforce is your only CRM, a native alternative avoids that trade.
