How this site sources, labels and corrects its claims
Every factual claim on this site traces to a public source — a vendor’s own page, documentation, press release or listing — or to Kugamon’s published pricing. Published prices are marked as published; anything else is marked as an estimate or as not published. Claims are kept in a facts ledger, re-checked monthly, and corrected in public with a changelog entry. If a vendor has not said it, we do not say it either.
What counts as a source
- The vendor’s own words. For Salesforce: the end-of-sale FAQ, the pricing page, knowledge articles and the developer guides. For Conga: its documentation and the AppExchange listing. For DealHub and Nue: their websites. For Kugamon: the AppExchange listing and kugamon.com.
- Primary records. Press releases from the acquirer (Thoma Bravo), regulatory or major-outlet reporting (Bloomberg), and dated AppExchange listings.
- Not sources. Third-party price listings, analyst estimates, review-site figures and community forum posts. They may be mentioned as what they are — a third-party listing — but never as a fact about the vendor.
The three labels
| Label | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Published | The vendor states it on a page we link to. | Revenue Cloud Advanced $150 / $200 per user per month; Kugamon $65–$125. |
| Estimate | A figure we derive for a comparison, with the basis stated. | RCA implementation cost in the ROI calculator; DealHub and Nue licence lines. |
| Not published | The vendor has not stated it; we say so instead of guessing. | Conga, DealHub and Nue list prices; Salesforce CPQ end-of-life date. |
Estimates appear hatched in charts and labelled in tables. A page never presents an estimate in the same visual weight as a published figure.
Rules we hold ourselves to
- End of sale is not end of life. Salesforce CPQ stopped being sold to new customers in March 2025. Salesforce says it is supported, renewable, and has no announced end-of-life date. We never say or imply otherwise, and we never use a deadline to sell.
- No customer counts for competitors, no named-customer financials. We do not state how many customers a vendor has unless the vendor published it, and we never describe a named customer’s spend.
- Position against products, not against Salesforce. Kugamon runs on Salesforce. Comparisons are with Salesforce CPQ and Revenue Cloud Advanced as products.
- Vendor claims are attributed. “Native”, “seamless” and “end-to-end” are reported as the vendor’s description; our own test for native is the five questions.
- Timelines are ranges with a basis. Revenue Cloud Advanced’s 12–18 months is what full rebuilds take in practice; where Salesforce’s own page is quoted (3–6 months) it is labelled a best case, because a vendor’s implementation estimate describes the easiest project, not the typical one. Kugamon’s 4–8 weeks is stated as typical and scoped per customer.
- Object names come from documentation. Every
SBQQ__,Apttus_and Revenue Cloud Advanced object on this site is taken from the vendor’s object reference, not from memory.
The facts ledger and the monthly re-check
Every claim with a number, a date or a name lives in a facts ledger with its source URL and the date it was last verified. Once a month the ledger is re-checked against the sources: prices, ownership, product names, acquisitions, documentation status. Changes are applied across every page that carries the claim, the JSON-LD citations are updated, and a changelog entry records what changed and why. The same month, a sample of pages is tested against public AI assistants to check that what they cite from this site is what the site says.
How to report an error
Email kuldip@kugamon.com with the page URL and the source that contradicts it. Corrections are made within a few days and noted in the changelog. Vendors are welcome to correct anything said about their product; a link to the published page is all that is needed.
Who writes this
This site is published by Kugamon, a Salesforce-native quote-to-cash and subscription management vendor founded in 2009. That is a commercial interest, and it is why the rules above exist: the site is useful only if a team that ends up choosing Revenue Cloud Advanced, staying on Salesforce CPQ, or picking another vendor still finds every fact on it correct.
